Gerard Butler's home burns

Gerard Butler has become the latest celebrity to lose his home to the California wildfires.

The 300 star took to his Instagram Story account on Sunday to show video of himself touring the remains of his destroyed property.

He posted two videos and could be heard stating: "Welcome to my home in Malibu" in one.

He also took to Instagram to salute the bravery of firefighters battling the blaze, writing: "Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LosAngelesFireDepartment."

He also added a link to donate to those impacted by the Woolsey fire that has been raging since Thursday.

Kelsey Grammer's ex-wife Camille was also hit hard by the fire over the weekend - her place was destroyed on Saturday night, hours after singer Robin Thicke confirmed he had lost his Malibu pad.

The reality TV star posted an aerial view of her home in flames on Instagram and wrote: "Sadly my house couldn't be saved. The courageous firefighters were able to save my cars and personal items recovered from my home. I thanked the fire captain and his team of firemen for all of their hard work.

"He took the time to explain what happened and I'm grateful for all of their hard work trying to save my home. Sad we lost our home but grateful that my family is safe. Luckily we quickly evacuated our house yesterday after a patrol car drove up the street announcing mandatory evacuations.

"I'm grateful for my lovely neighbors and friends who kept me informed and for their help this evening. Thank you all for caring."

Reports suggest over 180 homes have been lost in the Woolsey fire, which is still threatening several properties in Agoura, Topanga, Hidden Hills, West Hills, Calabasas, and Malibu, which has been under mandatory evacuation since Friday.

More than 250,000 people have been forced to flee their homes to avoid three major California blazes, which began late last week.

Reports on Friday suggested Caitlyn Jenner had lost her home overlooking Malibu, but sources now tell The Blast the place was damaged but not destroyed. Jenner, who assured fans and followers that she and her dogs were OK on Friday, has yet to confirm she has a house to go back to.

Caitlyn's stepdaughters, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are among those who have been evacuated, alongside Lady Gaga, who posted video of herself and her team packing up cars and fleeing on social media.

"Sending my prayers to everyone today," the Poker Face singer later wrote. "I am thinking so deeply for everyone who is suffering today from these abominable fires & grieving for the loss of their homes or loved ones. I'm sitting here with many of you wondering if my home will burst into flames.

"Thank you to the fire fighters, police, first and emergency responders for doing above and beyond everything you can do to help us. You are true heroes. I'm so grateful I love you and god bless you to all the firefighters and first responders who continue fighting this fire. You risk your lives for us, and I'm so humbled by your bravery"

The fire has burned through over 83,000 acres and is currently only 10 per cent contained.
