A bizarre encounter between two dog walkers took place in Kelowna and now one woman is warning others.
Kelowna RCMP responded to a suspicious circumstance at a park near Springfield Road and Leckie Road just before 2 p.m. on Oc.t 15.
A woman told police that while she was walking her dog a man with a Golden Retriever approached her and asked if the dogs could interact.

That was when things took a turn.
“JoJo went to say hi to the man and he put his hands around her neck and began to squeeze and laughed in a strange way while my dog squirmed and squealed and didn’t stop until I yelled and pushed him off and ran across the street,” said Kennedy Arbeau.
She was able to run from the area after she pushed him away.
O’Donaghey said the woman and the dog were not injured during the encounter.
The man is being describe at 55-years-old, tall, skinny, and was wearing a baseball hat.
“Be careful out there guys,” said Arbeau.
