In memory of Marie-Cat

Marie-Cat Bruno may be gone, but she will not be forgotten.

Bruno was an elite athlete having competed at the world level in both orienteering and cross country skiing.

As her competitive years came to an end, the drive to be the best continued as she became an instructor in order to share her love and passion of sport with others.

“As the only female to achieve the highest level of certification in both cross country and telemark she had reached the very top of her craft and the status of Master Instructor with the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors (CANSI),” said post on a GoFundMe page that has been set up in her honour.

“Marie-Cat was exceptionally proud of her accomplishments, but was also acutely aware of the financial challenges faced in pursuing her dreams. By contributing to her fund, you will will help us to support the next generation of amazing female athletes and instructors in overcoming the financial barriers to their success.”
The goal of the fundraiser is to collect enough money to create a fund which will continue to offer support in perpetuity.

“Marie-Cat gave so much to the snow sports industry during her life, and now you can be a part of continuing that contribution in her legacy,” said the post.
