Kelowna Rockets head coach Jason Smith will be pulling double duty when the Western Hockey League faces off against Russia in the annual CIBC series.
Smith has been named an assistant coach for the first two games of the series in Vancouver and Kamloops.
Moose Jaw head coach Tim Hunter has been named head coach of the squad for a third straight year. Lethbridge coach Brent Kisio will serve as the other assistant.
Smith, 44, is in his third season as head coach of the Rockets.
He began his coaching career as an assistant with the NHL's Ottawa Senators from 2014 to 2016.
The first two games of the annual series will be played in Vancouver Monday, Nov. 5 and Kamloops Tuesday, Nov. 6.
