Death threats on bus ride

Cellphone video on a West Vancouver bus captured a tense confrontation that escalated to death threats over the weekend.

Transit police say the incident happened about 8 p.m. Sunday on a bus from Horseshoe Bay to Vancouver.

A woman with a blonde ponytail got into the argument with several riders after being asked to make space.

Two and a half minutes of insults and threats followed.

"She made several lewd comments, including some racially charged comments, and other members on the bus also got involved in the argument," Sgt. Clint Hampton told CTV.

The woman begins hurling vulgarities when she realizes several riders are filming her.

"I'll f***ing kill you," she says.

She charges passengers and levels more insults before the bus driver pulls over, but then continues on. "Stop the bus!" one passenger can be heard yelling.

Police are investigating the incident and have spoken to riders who were on board the bus. Charges have yet to be recommended.

You can watch the video below, but be warned, there is plenty of coarse language.
