Suspect sketch released

Police are looking for a man who walked into a stranger’s home and assaulted the woman inside.

A composite sketch has been released of the alleged suspect and police are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

The incident unfolded on June 10 just before 7 a.m., at a residence in the 400 block of Yates Road in Kelowna.

Police say the man walked through an opened door and confronted the woman. She was assaulted by the unknown man and forcefully removed him from her residence.

“She was not injured as a result of this interaction and she did not require any medical treatment,” said RCMP Cpl. Tania Carroll.

Extensive patrols were conducted using a police service dog but the man was not found.

Police say the suspect is Caucasian, five-foot-11, has shoulder length brown messy hair, and was wearing a grey hoodie and a pair of blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Dewolf at 250-470-6294.
