A small earthquake struck this morning, northwest of Vancouver Island.
Natural Resources Canada reports the 4.6 magnitude quake was centred roughly 200 kilometres northwest of Port Hardy.
It struck at 6:10 a.m. at a depth of about 10 km.
There are no reports of injuries or damage, and it was not expected to cause a tsunami.
