Lisa Marie divorce battle

Lisa Marie Presley has scored a big court victory in her ongoing divorce battle after a judge ruled her post-nuptial agreement remains legally binding.

The singer has been fighting her estranged husband Michael Lockwood in court after he tried to make a grab for cash, even though a contract they agreed to in 2007 clearly states that neither party will be entitled to spousal support in the event of a split.

Lockwood has argued he was not aware of what he was signing and never read the document when it was presented to him a year into his marriage, but Elvis' daughter hit back, accusing him of "feigning amnesia or ignorance", insisting he was made "completely aware" of the terms and was "completely represented by counsel".

Now a judge has ruled in Lisa's favor, according to TMZ.com, meaning Michael is not entitled to spousal support, while they will each also get to keep everything they brought into the marriage and anything acquired during the union.

It's good news for the 50 year old, as she already had to hand over $100,000 to Michael back in February to help cover his legal fees relating to the case.

The former couple separated in 2016 after 10 years of marriage. Lisa and Michael are parents to nine-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.

Lisa is also facing financial troubles of her own, recently revealing she is more than $16 million in debt after waging war against her ex-business manager, Barry Siegel, and accusing him of mishandling her fortune and costing her millions. He has countersued, insisting the rocker's out-of-control spending is to blame for her money woes.
