2 dead in mass shooting

UPDATE: 10:30 p.m.

Two are confirmed dead and 13 are injured in Toronto's mass shooting. 

A nine-year-old girl is among those in critical condition following the 10 p.m. eastern time shooting in a busy downtown neighbourhood. 

UPDATE: 9:30 p.m.

Nine people are in hospital after Sunday evening's shooting in Toronto's Greektown neighbourhood. 

Police spokesman Mark Pugash said the suspected shooter was dead, but could not provide further details.

One of those injured was a child. No update on the conditions of the victims is available at this time. 

A witness said she saw a little girl of around seven or eight years of age being put into an ambulance on a stretcher.

Multiple shots were heard in a busy Toronto Neighbourhood Sunday night, and at least nine people are injured. 

Police, paramedics and firefighters responded to the scene. No word yet on the number of injuries, though CTV is reporting at least one person being loaded into an ambulance. 

Witnesses in the area, Danforth and Logan avenues in Toronto's east end, heard multiple shots fired.
