Emergency crews are on scene at a motorcycle crash just past Monte Lake going towards Kamloops on Highway 97.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, according to a driver.

"The guy was laying in the middle of the road," said a news tip. "They were shading him from the sun."

The witness said a couple of ambulances and about 5 cop cars are on scene. Castanet was also told by the witness it looked as though just the motorcycle was involved in the crash.

The extent of the victim's injuries is unknown at this time.
