David Hasselhoff is set to get married to fiancee Hayley Roberts in Italy on 31 July.

The Baywatch star popped the question to Hayley, a former sales assistant from Wales, in May 2016, and they are now set to exchange vows in an intimate ceremony at the end of the month, before jetting off to the Maldives for their honeymoon.

"We're gonna get married on the 31st, you know, in Italy," he told Entertainment Tonight. "My birthday is on Tuesday and then we shoot out to the UK and a few places and then we're gonna get married, but a very small wedding with her family from Wales in Puglia, which is southern Italy... And then from there we're gonna go to the Maldives and we'll stay underwater for about two weeks."

The Knight Rider star was pictured wearing a gold band on his ring finger as the couple hit the red carpet for the taping of The Roast of Bruce Willis, which airs in the U.S. on 29 July, and he explained to ET why he was wearing it already.

"This ring that I've got is really special," he said. "It's my mom and dad's and I wear it for luck and I wear it for remembrance and so I thought, you know, it's nice I don't have to go out and get another ring. I'll just keep this one."

David, 65, began dating Hayley, who is 27 years his junior, after meeting in a U.K. hotel while he was working as a Britain's Got Talent judge.

This will mark the actor's third wedding. He was previously married to Catherine Hickland between 1984 and 1989, and Pamela Bach, the mother of his daughters Taylor and Hayley, between 1989 and 2006.
