An intrepid Castanet reader sent us this photo, which shows the hillside behind Highway 97 near McCurdy Road.

It appears someone went to a great deal of effort and trouble to spell out the numbers '420' on the hillside behind Scandia amusements. The property is currently for sale.

420 is a common euphemism for marijuana or the smoking of marijuana.

The image is also reminiscent of the famous 'Hollywood' sign located in Los Angeles California.

No word on who may have been behind creating the sign.
