Gear up this weekend

Kicking things off tonight it’s Nitro Circus - The Next Level Tour. 

You won’t want to miss out on these gravity-defying tricks, and jaw-dropping stunts. It all adds up to an action-packed event that’s too big to fit indoors. It’s taking place at the Apple Bowl. Get tickets at ticketmaster.ca.

Sunday drives are making a comeback. Why not take a drive through orchards and wineries to the East Kelowna Artisan Market happening Sunday from 10-3 p.m. It’s a weekly market filled with local art, food, and to top it off live local music in the historical and quaint East Kelowna Hall. 

This Sunday it’s the YMCA’s 12th annual Cycle for Strong Kids event at Kelowna's H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Have fun, raise some funds and heart rates through a high-energy event that includes group cycling sessions, great food, prizes and more. 

The Holistic Market & Psychic Fair is at Laurel Packinghouse this Sunday, from 11 till 4. Chat with vendors, sample products and services and be inspired to make a healthy shift in 2018. It’s free to enter, and there’s door prizes too.

The Kelowna Vegan Festival is this weekend and will be two full days of vegan indulgence, featuring local vegan food, vegan health products, and vegan accessories and clothing. The Rotary Centre for the Arts Bistro will be serving vegan food throughout the weekend and there will be live music and other forms of family-friendly entertainment. Admission to the public is by donation, so check it out this Saturday and Sunday at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.

The MS Walk is happening this Sunday, from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. at Stuart Park and Lakefront Promenade. Bring your family and friends together to share in the start/finish line activities, team awards ceremonies and amazing stories from people living with MS.

The Peachland Art Group will host its 58th Art Show and Sale on Saturday and Sunday at the Peachland Community Centre. The Saturday hours have been extended ... 2-7 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Over 40 artists will display more than 400 paintings. There will also be artist greeting cards available for sale. Admission is by donation.

The Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market featuring farm, food and craft vendors runs every Wednesday and Saturday on Parkinson Way from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring handmade, locally grown and artisanal products! 
The third annual Vernon Heroes Amazing Race takes place May 26. The race is the only one of its kind in the Valley and all of the money raised will go towards the local cancer treatment centre.

The bulls are back in town this weekend at Penticton Speedway. Twenty riders and 40 bulls will compete for glory and thousands in cash prizes. Each rider will get two shots, on two different bulls, to stay in the saddle for eight seconds. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for youth and seniors and kids under 10 are free. 

United Way CSO, City of Kelowna and BC Transit have partnered once again to bring you their signature spring fundraising event, The United Way Bus Pull this Saturday from 10-1 at the Prospera Place parking lot. Teams of eight will compete for bragging rights and the coveted Community Cup by pulling a BC Transit bus to the finish line.
