Pull a bus for a good cause

Think you have the grit necessary to pull a transit bus across the finish line?

If so, the United Way is looking form you.

The annual United Way Bus Pull returns to Kelowna Saturday, May 26.

Teams of eight will gather in the parking lot of Prospera Place that day to see if they have the muscle and strength to beat all comers and take home the United Way Community Cup.

Other trophies will be handed out for top fundraising team, top individual fundraiser, best costume and most enthusiastic.

“We are so excited for this year’s bus pull! It promises to be a fantastic family day,” says Helen Jackman, United Way CSO executive director.

“The United Way Possibility Posse has been training hard and is expecting (ahem) to lift the cup! Come and join us, shout for the teams, lend your support and give back to your community.”

Last year, more than $21,000 was raised for United Way charities.
