New boss at Poplar Grove

Poplar Grove Winery in Penticton has a new estate director.

Ingo Grady has taken over the position, the winery announced on Tuesday.

Grady has been in executive roles for the past 30 years at Grady Wine Marketing, Mission Hill in West Kelowna and at Phantom Creek in Oliver.

“Ingo is a genuine, experienced and charismatic leader who will manage and develop our team as we take our family business to the next level," Poplar Grove president and owner Tony Holler said in a news release.

At Poplar Grove, Grady will oversee the winey's portfolio and "guide the team in all strategic and tactical aspects of the business," which include winemaking, vineyard operations, marketing, sales and guest experience. He'll also serve as the winery's global spokesperson.

Grady said he's honoured and excited to take on the new role.

"The Hollers have taken Poplar Grove from a humble idea to one of the most admired wineries in Canada. My new team will harness the family’s passion and commitment as we build on this foundation together," Grady said.
