The Town of Oliver has launched social media profiles to better communicate messages with residents.

Oliver can now be found on Facebook and Twitter. The town is encouraging residents to like those pages as a way to have easy access to information.

"As we head into the flooding and fire season, these social media sites will be used as one of our primary tools for communicating to residents, along with the town website and public service announcements," Mayor Ron Hovanes said in a news release.
