A little piece of Kamloops history is up for sale. 

The Bookmobile will be auctioned off to make way for a new 'Mobile Library’ in the next couple of months.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District will begin its opening bidding process April 17, 2018.

The Bookmobile is a 35-foot front-engine diesel Blue Bird bus.

“It has served us well, delivering library service to rural communities
across the region for the past 17 years,” says Judy Moore, Thompson Nicola Regional Library chief librarian.

A minimum bidding price of $7,500 is set. All bids are to be submitted via sealed envelope.

The Bookmobile is currently in running condition, but engine repairs are required. 

Features of the Bookmobile include a recently rebuilt transmission and generator.
