A Castanet reader says the two cars at the scene of Thursday afternoon's crash in West Kelowna never actually collided.
"The car that went off the road slid through the stop sign and into the ditch with no collision occurring with another car," a woman said. "The second car was dented from a previous accident."
The driver of the car that slid off the road was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
ORIGINAL: 2 p.m.
Two cars collided on Thacker Drive and Douglas Road in West Kelowna just after 1p.m. Thursday.
One of the drivers was sent to the hospital in an ambulance.
A witness said it appeared one car went off road, missing a power pole and a bus stop sign. The other car had a minor dent on the driver's side.
RCMP and other emergency services attended the scene.
One lane remains open on Thacker Road.
