DriveBC says the Coquihalla northbound has reopened. Maintenance is working to clear the rockfall 3.5km S of Merritt. You are advised to check DriveBC before you head out; winter conditions are still present at the Summit, chain up for commercial vehicles in effect, expect delays.

Getting more reports of multiple incidents at the snowshed area on the Coquihalla this morning. Janis Lea Brown tells Castanet her sisters were on a bus she believes was involved in a collision.
Conditions are very poor and several near misses have been reported.
You are advised to check DriveBC throughout the day before traveling.

It's a messy start to the day on highways in and out of the Okanagan.
The northbound lanes of Highway 5 near Merritt are closed due to a rock-slide.
To make matters worse, a heavy snowfall warning remains in effect for the Coquihalla Highway this morning, with another 5 cm expected to fall — the Coquihalla and the connector received a dump of snow overnight.
An incident on Highway 1 near Lytton closed down both lanes, but as of 6:30 a.m. a single alternating lane is now open.
And, avalanche control will cause 2 to 3-hour delays, all day today, through the Roger's Pass from 7 a.m. to 3:00 this afternoon.
