Heavy rain caused a slope to give way near Campbell River on Sunday, prompting the city to issue an evacuation notice for four homes.

The notice is mandatory for Park Road properties 2211, 2223 and 2205, as well as 2238 Steelhead Road. 

A geotechnical professional will be investigating the ground conditions in the meantime to determine bank stability before the order is lifted.
