CTV Vancouver Island News has learned Bradley Aschenbrenner, the husband of deceased RCMP officer Const. Sarah Beckett has filed a notice of civil claim against Kenneth Jacob Fenton.
Fenton smashed his truck into Beckett's police cruiser in a Langford intersection on April 5, 2016, killing her.
The lawsuit, filed in October, states that Aschenbrenner and his and Beckett's two young sons have suffered loss of guidance and companionship of their wife and mother, loss of support, loss of household assistance and loss of inheritance due to her death.
