Police are looking for a suspect following a shooting in Surrey, Tuesday morning.

A man was reportedly shot at 8:40 a.m., near 96th Avenue and 116th Street.

The injured man was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. 

A nearby school, Royal Heights Elementary, was locked down for a short time as a precaution.

The shooting is believed to have been targeted, and police say there is no risk to the public.

It's not yet confirmed if the shooting was related to gang violence.
