The second fittest man in the world is Kelowna's Brent Fikowski.

Fikowski placed second in the 2017 CrossFit Reebok games. 

The 2017 CrossFit Invitational was held in Melbourne, Australia this year.

Team Canada included Brent Fikowski, Alessandra Pichelli, Carol-Ann Reason-Thibault, and Patrick Vellner. 

"The CrossFit Invitational this year was a lot of fun. It was really cool to meet up with pretty much the exact same team we had last year," Fikowski said. 

The Kelowna native had his eye on a first place finish. 

"We definitely had high expectations. All four teams were all-star teams of this sport. We went in there to win."

Team Pacific gelled really well and ended up taking the title, with Canada finishing a close second.

"The next step for me is really training again to make it and do well at the CrossFit Games. Last year I came second so hoping to improve on that. First if I can," he added.
