Market supports charities

The fourth annual Winterland Market in Summerland has raised about $1,000 for local charities.

The event took place on Nov. 18-19 and featured a variety of vendors selling unique products.

“The market is in support of the community,” said Carrie Mayes, market manager. “We are raising money for the foodbank, as well as different organizations within town.”

There was more than 26 vendors, selling homemade items and baking.

The Christmas market accepted cash donations or food items in support of the Summerland Food Bank.
