Check in... If you dare

A new "haunted hotel" will be one of the most frightening places to be this weekend in Penticton.

LocoLanding Adventure Park is hosting its third annual haunted mini-golf starting Friday, but this year they have added a 1,300 square-foot haunted hotel.

"Brand new this year we have a haunted hotel that is being built, and you are checking in if you dare," said LocoLanding owner Diana Stirling. "It’s completely brand new to our region, it was actually created out of New York City and we worked with a company there to create a really unique experience."

The haunted hotel and haunted mini-golf will feature live actors, creepy music and animatronics, after 7 p.m.

"Before 7 p.m. is less scary, which means that the music is different and our actors are not out and the animatronics are toned down," Stirling said, adding the first two hours will be more family friendly.

Both scary attractions will be open Friday, Oct. 27 to Monday, Oct. 30, with doors opening each night at 5 p.m.
