UPDATE: 11:30 a.m.
High winds tore off some roofing material, which pulled electrical wires from the roof of the West Kelowna business.
The wires were arcing, causing sparks and a few flames that were quickly doused.
Staff evacuated the building, and firefighters got up on the roof to ensure no fire had spread.
Utility crews were also on scene.

Fire crews are responding to a roof fire at Dynamic Transmissions in West Kelowna.
Power lines are reported to be down and arcing on the roof of the building on Byland Road, near Daimler Drive.
The extent of the fire is not yet known, but Castanet has a reporter en route to the scene.
Winds are gusting strongly and are forecast to peak at up to 90 km/h in the Okanagan-Shuswap, according to Environment Canada.
