Police investigating home

Officers spent Thursday investigating a Campbell River home, but police aren't saying much about what they're doing.

The Emergency Response Team and and police dog unit were seen outside a home on Peterson and Shetland Roads, while a drone flew above.

“Seen a couple of guys get out and kind of hop the fence there and I was just kind of looking around, I kind of pointed out and got everyone looking over there,” said Brock Sutton, who was working at a nearby construction site. “I didn’t see anyone get hauled out this way, I imagine it was probably on the back road or something like that.”

Neighbours saw police searching inside and outside the home for most of the day.

“Everybody’s been on social media saying ‘oh they could have found something,’ they’re saying rumours about a dead body, but they’re not commenting so very vague at this point,” said Samantha Wind, who lives across the street.

Wind said the people who lived in the home were quiet and helpful.
