A pickup truck has caught fire on Highway 97, near the Glenrosa exit in West Kelowna.

Reader photos show flames shooting from the hood of what appears to be a full-size pickup pulled over on the shoulder of the southbound lanes.

Thick black smoke is rising from the vehicle.

The fire is beside a grassy hillside and not far from the Gorman's lumber mill, just up the hill. But, so far, it appears the fire is contained to just the truck.
