Developers eyeing RV park

City staff will be seeking public feedback on whether a pair of city-owned addresses near Skaha Lake should be sold.

An offer was recently made to the city to purchase two properties, located at 3807 and 3811 Skaha Lake Road, which are currently being leased to the Oxbow RV Resort.

The RV park also operates at 198 Skaha Place, the parcel of land next to the two addresses.

The offer requested to consolidate the two addresses on Skaha Lake Road with 198 Skaha Place, and use the land for a multi-family development.

Members of council followed a staff recommendation to decline the offer during Tuesday evening's council meeting, outlining a community engagement process for considering future use of the city-owned parcels.

The community will be able to provide input on what the appropriate use is for the two addresses, and if the land is acceptable for the city to sell.

Following the engagement process, staff will provide a recommendation for the land to council, who will decide further action.
