Hopscotch, Kelowna's festival of whisky, is adding something a little different to the mix this year.
For the first time, craft beer will be showcased in its own area.
The B.C. Craft Brewers Guild is joining the weekend fun, which includes more than 70 booths, 200-plus products, live music and activities Sept. 22 and 23.
The grand tasting will take over the Kelowna Curling Club, and food vendors will include 19 Okanagan Grill & bar, El Taquero, the FSH, Social Lounge & Grill and BKH Jerky.
“Unlike last year and years prior, the booths at Hopscotch will be in categories,” organizers says. “The B.C. Craft Pavillion, Beers From Around The World, Whisky Corner, The Rose Garden (wine), Spirits Of The Globe and Craft Cocktails are some of the different areas with the hall this year.”
Regular price tickets are $36, but they are discounted on the website, no coupon code required.
“We wanted to update the event to be as quality an event as the brands that are showcased within it,” said Adam Bloch, festival producer.
"We thought about what we wanted Hopscotch to represent to the people of Kelowna, and it was clear that we wanted to offer the best night out at a ridiculously affordable price."
Tickets can be purchased online here.
