ORIGINAL: 7:20 a.m.

Just after 3 a.m. on Monday morning Richmond RCMP were called to the 7500 block of Bridge Street for reports of a possible shooting. When police arrived they found an adult victim in the area.

Despite all attempts to revive the individual he succumbed to his injuries.

Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.  The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called and will be working in partnership with the Richmond RCMP.
