Police are appealing to the public for information after shots were fired into a house in a notorious area of Vancouver.

Shots rang out about midnight near Kaslo Street and East 22nd Avenue.
 
Investigators believe the incident was not random and that the house was targeted.

No one was injured in the gunfire, and no arrests have been made.
 
Any witnesses are asked to call the Vancouver Police Organized Crime Unit at 604-717-2596 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477. 
 
The area is no stranger to crime. In 2015, police installed surveillance cameras at the intersection to crack down on gang activity.
