Trestle help needed

Myra Canyon Trestle Restoration Society is looking for additional volunteers this fall because of the hot and dry summer.  

With the high risk of wildfires across B.C., they decided to postpone maintenance work on the Myra Trail system until the risk eases.

As a result their brushing work is behind schedule. Brushing work involves cutting back bushes and overhanging trees that encroach on the trail. 

To volunteer, the skills involved are pruning, sawing and clean up/raking. Myra Canyon Trestle Restoration will supply equipment.

Several work parties are being scheduled in September and October to catch up with their annual maintenance.
