Get ready for a longer commute if you live in Kelowna's Mission district.

Paving work takes place this week on Gordon Drive.

The city says asphalt milling and paving of northbound lanes on Gordon Drive, from Cook Road to Ladner Road, will continue until Friday.

During the work, Casorso Road will be closed to through traffic from Benvoulin Road to Gordon Drive. Motorists will be detoured and are urged to obey signage and traffic safety personnel to minimize disruptions.

Residents living on Casorso will access their properties from the roundabout at Benvoulin Road.
