Teacher cusses out students

A Vancouver high school teacher was suspended for three days and must take a conflict resolution course after he unleashed a profanity-laden tirade on a group of Grade 12 girls.

On April 3, 2017, Maple Fun Sun Low entered his Grade 12 English class and noticed five girls playing cards before his class started.

As Low began handing out papers, he believed they were still playing cards, and lost it on one of the students in front of the entire class.

“Turn around so that you can listen, F*** this. You guys are f***ing b****es and you should go to a coffee shop if you want to play cards,” he said, according to a recent report of disciplinary action from Bruce Preston, the B.C. Commissioner for Teacher Regulation.

He continued to call the students “f***ing b****es,” and told them they would get nowhere in life.

After one of the students told Low that she was “shook” by his rant, Low responded with more profanity.

“F***ing bulls***, this is bulls***, you should be, f***ing b****es,” he replied.

One of the students left the class in tears.

Low admits that this series of events occurred.

On June 15, Low was suspended without pay for three days, and on July 20, Preston ordered that Low must complete a course through the Justice Institute of B.C. called The Mindful Educator in Managing Conflict.

Low must complete the course by Sept. 1, 2017.
