It's all about garlic

It's all about garlic in Grindrod Sunday.

The 8th annual Grindrod Garlic Festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature locally grown garlic and produce, arts and crafts, workshops and competitions at the market-style event.

There will be live music by Fiddle Big Fiddle and participants can enter the People’s Choice Art Exhibit and photography, poetry and vegetable competition classes.

Along with workshops and demonstrations, there will also be a garlic-eating contest for the brave of heart and strong of stomach.

The festival takes place at the Grindrod Recreation Park, on Highway 97A North of Enderby.

Admission is $3, but children under 12 are free.
