Fire crews were called to the waterfront after a fire broke out at a wharf in Steveston Saturday evening.
The fire started around 5:30 p.m. and smoke could be seen billowing into the air.
Fire crews fought the fire from boats as well as from the dock.
According to the Steveston Harbour Authority, the fire started on a commercial dock and spread to a storage locker shed. Most of the smoke came from a structure on the Steveston wharf at the foot of Trites Road.
