I have lived on the Westside of the bridge since 1986. Since this time I have been in long lineups time and time again due to road and bridge construction. Since the new bridge was built the commute has not improved at all.
The Ministry of Transport representative has no idea of the wait times in the morning. I doubt he is travelling every day like many West Kelowna residents.
They must eliminate the lights at Abbott and Water street somehow in the near future to relieve drivers of these wait times. Once you pass these locations it is smooth sailing for the rest of the way up Highway 97.
I have seen proposals of overpasses in the future. This must be done asap.
I travel into town just about every morning and have yet to see that many out of town license plates. We are in trouble when they arrive.
