It's not every day one hears about a motorcycle mowing down a group of pedestrians, but that's exactly what happened in Kelowna Friday.
RCMP say a motorcycle struck a total of four pedestrians at Gordon and Springfield shortly after noon hour.
They say the motorcycle was heading southbound on Springfield and was making a right hand turn onto Gordon when it hit the girls as they were attempting to cross the road.
At least two of the girls were taken to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle says he never saw the girls. "It's terrible. I'm not sure what happened. It's good thing I wasn't going fast."
Police say it would appear the light was red when the driver made the right turn and he is facing charges of driving without due care and attention.
