More pain at the pump

Ouch.

There is more pain at the pump in Vernon - a lot more.

The price of the precious petrol jumped a whopping 11 cents a litre Thursday.

Petro Can on 27th Street has ramped up the cost of the liquid gold to 119.9 a litre, up from 108.9 a litre this morning.

While gas is currently holding steady at 108.9 at other stations, it likely won't be long before they take the jump as well.

Kelowna motorists are also getting hit in the pocket book with prices there also topping out at 119.9 a litre.

According to gasbuddy.com, the average price of a litre of gas in B.C. is 124.1.

Kamloops is currently sitting at 109.9 while Penticton motorists are shelling out 114.9.

As usual, gas is much cheaper in Alberta with Calgary residents paying a mere 87.9 a litre. Edmonton drivers are also doing well at 87.4.

Even Ft. St. John has the Okanagan beat with gasbuddy.com reporting gas in the northern community going for 112.9.
