Car flips on Connector

Spring officially sprung more than a week ago, but winter conditions remain on the Okanagan Connector.

Weather caused problems for two men in a Subaru Outback when they hit pooling water on the mountain highway, causing the vehicle to spin out of control.

They were heading east, near Brenda Mine, when they lost traction, causing the car to veer into the centre median and roll, eventually landing in the westbound lanes.

No one was injured in the crash.

Randy Brown, a witness, says heavy snow melt and a mix of falling rain and snow made conditions hard to evaluate.

DriveBC says 10 centimetres of snow and 11 millimetres of rain have fallen on the highway since this morning.
