Kamloops RCMP have taken a 39-year-old Falkland man into custody on drug charges.
Charges stem from a two-day drug enforcement by members of the street-level drug unit on Tranquille Road earlier this month.
According to police, sufficient evidence was found to arrest and charge the man with possession and trafficking in a controlled substance.
More than 20 grams of cocaine were seized, along with more than $3,000 in cash, and cellphones.
The man was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
“Any time drugs are removed from the streets, it makes our community safer,” said Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
