Most British Columbians think Premier Christy Clark would "say anything to get elected."
An Insights West poll found 55 per cent believe Clark, the BC Liberal leader, would say anything for votes, while 18 per cent believe that about BC NDP Leader John Horgan and two per cent about BC Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver.
The poll also found 23 per cent considered Weaver to be “the most authentic,” followed by Horgan with 20 per cent and Clark with 12 per cent.
Insights West asked which leader B.C. residents would rather invite over for supper.
"There is no clear advantage for any of the three politicians on being the one British Columbians would be more likely to invite home for dinner (Horgan 23%, Weaver 21%, Clark 20%) or the one most likely to pay back a loan (Clark 19%, Horgan 19%, Weaver 15%)," said the pollster.
As for issues, housing, poverty and homelessness led the way among B.C. residents, followed by health care, the economy and jobs.
The online poll was conducted from Feb. 23 to Feb. 26, among 801 adult B.C. residents. The margin of error is +/- 3.5 percentage points.
