UPDATE: 6:49 p.m.

A suspicious container that was found inside the Bank of Montreal has been removed but the chemicals inside it are unknown.

Firefighters were notified about the container around 5 p.m. on Sunday but said it had been inside the bank, near the ATMs, since 6 p.m. on Saturday.

“Video from the security company shows the package was left there around 6 p.m. last night,” said Platoon Captain Tim Light.
