RCMP are investigating after a man in his 50s was hit while walking on Bella Vista Road, near Planet Bee, on Monday night.
Emergency personnel were called around 6:55 p.m.
“He was transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital,” said Vernon Fire Rescue Captain Rob Cucheran. “I'm not sure of the severity of his injuries but spinal precautions were taken. He also had a head injury.”
The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene of the accident, said Cucheran.
