Beer fest chugs on

Beer, Okanagan Lake and sunshine.

What more could you ask for?

The Great Okanagan Beer Festival is back for a third year on May 13 and the bar has been raised.

“We raised our capacity from 3,000 to 3,500,” said Tara Myers of the Great Okanagan Beer Festival. “We did sell out last year so our goal is to accommodate even more people this year.”

This year, more than 45 breweries are joining in on the fun and bringing over 100 beers and ciders for your tasting pleasure.

Myers added that they are hoping to get at least 50 breweries and more details will be revealed around the end of March.

“Can’t really picture a better setting than being on the water with a cold beer and having the mountains in the back ground,” said Myers. “We know Kelowna is traditionally wine country but with the explosion of craft beer across B.C. we think there is room for the great Okanagan Beer Festival as well.”

Tickets for regular admission are $45 and all access tickets are going for $85. To purchase a ticket visit the website.
