Foodie film fest returning

The world's largest foodie film festival will be coming back to the South Okanagan for the second year in a row.

Devour! The Food Film Fest was created in 2009 in Nova Scotia to celebrate film, food and culture. In 2016 it made its first cross-country stopover in Osoyoos.

This year, the festival is set to expand its stop in Osoyoos, bringing events throughout the South Okanagan.

“The first Devour! at Watermark Beach Resort was a huge success, and we are thrilled that this year’s festival has grown to incorporate the surrounding area,” the festival's creator Michael Howell said. “The South Okanagan is one of the top food and wine destinations in the country, and provides the perfect backdrop for celebrating Canada’s excellent culinary and film offerings.”

The event is expected to last three days from May 5 to 7, highlighting food, drink and culture. Events include a film-inspired gala dinner featuring B.C. chefs, tasting tours, cooking demonstrations, a champagne brunch, cocktail reception and more.

More information can be found at the Osoyoos tourism website.
