Snak the ripper in Vernon

Vancouver based rapper and cult icon Snak The Ripper makes his return to Vernon Saturday, Feb 18th at Status Nightclub in Vernon. Snak who has created a huge following here in the Okanagan and always draws a large crowd has come off two massive albums, White Dynamite which spent almost 3 weeks at #2 on iTunes HipHop/Rap Charts and sold nearly 10,000 digital albums and over 22,000 singles) followed by the release of From The Dirt which which dropped shortly after a heated dispute with fellow Canadian rapper Mad Child. The beef lead to the two artists writing numerous dis tracks about each other with Snak winning the battle, pushing him to the  forefront of the rap game and propelling his record label and artists to new heights.
Snak represents the true underdog story, from homeless and struggling with drug addiction to cult phenomenon/ record label owner / entrepreneur.

Snak the Ripper raps with a voice as ugly and honest as his material. With multiple tours under his belt and popularity spanning across the globe, Snak has shared a stage with notable artists such as Macklemore, Raekwon, Classified, and Tech N9ne to name a few and heads off on another European tour in the coming months. Future plans also include writing a book, as many of his stores and experiences aren't considered suitable for the media.

Truthful to a fault, his music scrapes the rock bottom of human nature to offer a rare glimpse into the ugly underbelly of our celebrity-obsessed society. Once a relatively unknown West Coast emcee, he's now a name known across the globe.

With millions of views on YouTube, tours on tours and support slots with some of the industry most recognized rappers, his stunning rise to cult icon coincided with a life and death struggle with drug abuse. Clinging to music as he struggled to get himself clean, he released “ The Ripper ” in 2007 and sold 2,000 copies online and at live shows. His next album “ Sex Machine ,” (2009 Camobear Records) has sold over 10,000 copies digitally, and been downloaded way more than that.

Also, performing is the versatile and high skilled Scuba Steve with 13th Floor and one of Stealth Bomb's newest additions, Junk. Since the age of 13, Junk has been seasoning his pen game and making his mark on the under-belly of the West Coast rap game. His latest album titled I.A.N ( I'm am no one) is his most well rounded and honest bodied work to date. Junk capped off 2016 with the release of his Snak The Ripper-directed video, “Saved Me.” The song, which also features Snak, was produced by AllRounda with cuts by DJ Abel. The video comes in support of Junk’s album, I.A.N.which was released back in April. You can find it on iTunes, Spotify and other sources.
