Car crashes into motel

UPDATE: 11:25 a.m.

Emergency officials say a car ran a stop sign, ricocheted off an SUV and slammed into a motel Friday morning.

"He ended up going right through the yard and into the fence," said Capt. Brent Bond of Vernon Fire Rescue Services.

The Chevy Lumina came to a rest against the Schell Motel Express on 32nd Street.

The driver suffered minor injuries, said Bond.

A car has crashed through a fence and slammed into a house in Vernon.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. at 35th Avenue and 33rd Street.

A photo send by emergency crews shows a blue sedan crunched up against a residence. The front end is damaged.

There's no word on injuries or charges.
