ERT team called in

A police Emergency Response Team was called to a building in Victoria, Saturday, but authorities are saying little about the incident.

Police responded to reports of a break and enter in an office space above a restaurant about 4:45 p.m.

“They taped off a good portion of the area ... but they were still letting traffic down Fort (Street),” a staff member who was passing by the area told CTV. “I just found it strange to have so many officers with the guns and the dogs and for people to be allowed to be right out front like this.”

Police cleared the scene about 10 p.m. but have yet to release any information on the incident.
